15291/01GAZETTE & HERALD: VILLAGERS in Derry Hill won't be going hungry as two new landlords take over at the Lansdowne Arms.
Richard, 33, and Kate Bennett, 34, have arrived from fellow Wadsworth pub, The Pheasant, in Chippenham and will be offering all day food.
They previously ran the Lansdowne Arms three years ago for six months when they were training.
They are hoping to bring in more punters with quiz nights and by serving afternoon teas in the warmer months as Bowood House reopens.
Mr Bennett said he would miss his old pub. "Here you can go out in the garden and it feels like a real country village pub and you get to spend more time with the local people, but we'll miss the Pheasant," he said.
