GAZETTE & HERALD: AUDITIONS for a new theatre school in Calne were a resounding success according to organiser Levi Summers.
Member of the Wessex Branch for Equity, Mr Summers, 42, from Quemerford, said he felt like he was on Pop Idol when he opened the door and saw over 70 people queuing up.
He said: "There was a superb lady called Wendy who is 64-years-young and also youngsters aged from five.
"There were quite a few people who had a lot of experience from being with Calne Players, CHADS as well as a lot of pupils from schools who are studying A/S Levels and BTEC drama.
"For a small community like Calne it was amazing."
Mr Summers will be leading the group with colleague John Flannegan, who has filmed in corporate and training videos as well as adverts. They are hoping to stage educational theatre as well as variety shows. For information call Mr Summers on (07867) 600893.
