VOLUNTEERS are needed to help transport people with disabilities in Swindon.
Shaplands, in Stratton St Margaret, is a development of purpose-built bungalows for adults with physical disabilities.
Tenants live independently in their own homes but there is on-site support available.
Many of them are wheelchair users and transport can often be a problem.
Project worker Jenny Byrne said: "We really need people to help out with transport.
"It's very rewarding and it's a good way for people who volunteer to put something back into their community."
Volunteers, who need to be able to drive the group's minibus, would be given a minimum of one week's notice of transport being needed.
Anyone who is willing to help should call Shaplands on 01793 820500.
