BUDDING entrepreneurs in Wootton Bassett can win £1,000 in a competition run by the town's Chamber of Commerce.
The competition involves submitting a business plan for starting a new business within Wootton Bassett.
Chosen finalists will then be invited to give a small presentation about their business to the judging panel and an invited audience of people interested in promoting and investing in new business ideas.
The competition is sponsored by North Wiltshire District Council.
The success of last year's competition has led to the format being extended.
This year's winner will automatically be entered in a regional final, which has a further £2,000 in prize money.
Brian Taylor, president of the town's Chamber of Commerce, said: "I am delighted that Wootton Bassett became the model for rolling the competition out across north Wiltshire. Many finalists go on to begin trading in their new business, which is good for the economy of the individual towns and for north Wiltshire as a whole.
Entry forms must be submitted by February 28. For more information telephone 01793 853870.
