Bassett contained Corsham for much of the first half but it was the home side that scored first after they charged down an attempted clearance kick just outside the opposition 22.
Bassett continued to fight back through a series of penetrating runs by Oliver Stavrakakis and some outstanding play by Phil Bardwell. The first half finished 7-0 to the home side.
The second half saw Bassett make a number of changes including the addition of Ben Willcocks on debut.
The relentless pressure eventually paid off through a push over try to Chris Clarke and Phil Bardwell who both had their hands on the ball.
