30157/1A TELECOMS engineer from Melksham plans to take on the gruelling challenge of scaling Britain's three highest peaks in just 36 hours.
Marc Bolwell, 28, of Daisy Close, will tackle the Three Peaks Challenge in September, raising money for the Meningitis Trust.
Mr Bolwell, who has recently recovered from a hernia operation, is optimistic about his chances of success.
Together with his team, put together by the Meningitis Trust, he will have to scale the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales, climbing Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon and travelling between the three in 36 hours.
He said: "The Three Peaks Challenge is something that I have wanted to do for a great many years. A friend of mine who works for the NHS told me you can do it with the Meningitis Trust."
He plans to train hard by walking, running, going to the gym and playing squash with his wife. To sponsor Mr Bolwell, contact him on 07740 451482.
