WILTSHIRE Wildlife Trust is to get £90,000 to cut greenhouse gases in the county. Environment minister Elliot Morley announced on Monday the trust will receive the money over three years, with the aim of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases by 20 per cent.
Jane Laurie, head of sustainable communities with the trust, said: "Until now, our work has focussed on simple actions that people can take in their own homes, such as using low energy light bulbs and putting in loft insulation. None of these are visible.
"To encourage everyone to make changes to their lifestyles we will use this grant to support communities in high profile projects that will grab people's attention. This will help people realise they are not alone, and that whole communities are working to make things better."
