BUDDING young actors are being sought to help teach newly elected councillors about the council following elections in May.
Wiltshire County Council is looking for aspiring thespians, aged between 14 and 18 to work with the Big State Theatre Company and Theatre Works, an organisation promoting theatre in the county.
Theatre Works director Deryck Newland said: "This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for young actors to get involved with a very real production and work with professional artists.
The young people will get help to research, write and perform five short plays covering different aspects of the council's aims.
David Whewell, head of the council's youth development service, said: "We were looking for something to make the council's aims come alive for new councillors after the elections in May. We want to tap into the talent, energy and enthusiasm of young people to inspire the new councillors."
Young people interested in taking part can contact Mr Newland on (01793) 328762 for details of a taster workshop on February 15, when the final 15 will be chosen.
