YOUNGSTERS in Trowbridge will have a wait a little longer to find out if they are going to get a new skatepark.
A planning application to build new facilities at Stallards Park was deferred for further information by Trowbridge Town Council on Tuesday.
The park has provoked mixed reactions, with many welcoming much-needed facilities for teenagers but others fearing the park will cause noise and disruption.
Margaret Elliott, 63, of Linden Place said: "At first we were protesting because it was within 50 yards of our homes and we were never consulted in the first place.
"Now it has moved we are actively involved but I think it is too big for the size of the park."
Trowbridge mayor Grace Hill, whose home also backs on to the park, said: "I have absolutely no objection to it, I think it is a very good place for it to go."
There is already a ramp in the park, but the £110,000 new area would have nine sunken ramps.
