30159CHILDREN at a Trowbridge primary school are planning to be around when history is uncovered there. Pupils at Paxcroft School buried a time capsule on Monday to mark the opening of a new building.
Headteacher Liz Bannister said: "They were quite excited about it because it will be dug up in their lifetimes. They are trying to remember everything in it and looking forward to being around in 50 years' time."
Each class chose items relevant to their lives to go into the capsule, including a CD of current pop music, an Argos catalogue, photographs and crisps and sweet wrappers.
They also buried diaries detailing an average school day, as well as a copy of the National Curriculum.
