WESTBURY travelled to Swindon with a weakened side. With almost half the first team regulars unavailable, team manager Paul Cussons had to draw heavily from the seconds and the services of Ed Tout and veterans' captain Max Bignall.
From the kick-off Westbury put Swindon under pressure and there seemed to be a chance they might go in front.
But as the Swindon forwards began to find their rhythm and moved down the centre of the field, some driving runs from the rucks led to a converted try.
Westbury continued to contest the match with some attacks of there own, but could not reply and Swindon went on to score another eight points to lead 15-0 at half-time.
The second half went better for Westbury, but they could not score and Swindon added a penalty.
Cussons said: "This was a sterling effort from these lads and Swindon deserved their win, but if Westbury had managed to move the forwards into attacking positions the result could have been different."
