South West England is set to become the new destination for people looking for an indulgent holiday experience.

A new website www.indulgesouthwest.co.uk launches today highlighting the region's top 100 'sheer indulgence' holiday and short break experiences, from plush hotels to classic cars, lavish health spas to high class restaurants.

Relax in the wood panelled library at Lucknam Park in Wiltshire, a magnificent Palladian mansion which has been restored to evoke the elegance of a past era. Here you can chill out in the luxurious private spa, or enjoy a meal in the award-winning restaurant, recently named 'Best Out Of Town' restaurant at the prestigious Tatler Restaurant Awards.

Visit the home of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn at Thornbury Castle near Bristol, where you will discover romantic dcor and atmospheric bedchambers, most with four-poster or coronet beds, stone walls, tapestries, roaring fires, ornate carved ceilings and wonderful views. Take a walk in the grounds where Mary Tudor once wandered amongst the courtyards and yew hedges.

indulgesouthwest.co.uk is part of a new marketing strategy for South West England, which aims to meet the consumer's desire for experience-led holidays. Other websites will follow later in 2005, highlighting a range of the region's best experiences including 'close to nature', 'adventure', 'easy pre-school' and 'traditional beach holiday'.
