THE winner of Swindon's mini Big Brother contest has visited Wroughton Airfield to see how the money he helped raise is being spent.
Kevin Harrington came out on top in the charity Big Bruvva at the Swiss Chalet pub.
The fundraiser, which saw ten people locked in a specially built house in the Gorse Hill pub for 24 hours, raised £7,000.
The money is paying for 12 containers to transport donations people have taken to the Wroughton hangar for the tsunami appeal.
Kevin, 29, said: "It's great because if it wasn't for everyone at the Swiss Chalet a lot of the stuff collected might not make it over there. They had no other way of paying for these containers."
Kevin, of Bride Street, in Gorse Hill, said he had been impressed by the generosity of people in Swindon.
He said: "I was in a state of awe when I went to Wroughton and saw everything.
"To see it all is unbelievable."
Kevin said he was proud to be part of something that raised so much money.
He said: "It was great. It was very much a community effort and it was absolutely brilliant."
