A homeowner is toting up the damage after a stolen car ploughed into the study of his listed building.
The Vauxhall Cavalier was stolen from outside a home in Pound Close, Lyneham, early on Saturday morning.
Traffic police from Swindon, who provide weekend cover for the rest of Wiltshire, spotted the car hours later in Ramsbury.
After a brief chase, the car containing three men and a woman lost control and smashed through the outside wall.
Two people from Reading were arrested at the scene and two more, also from Reading, were arrested later by Thames Valley police.
Two were released on bail and two were remanded in custody to be interviewed in connection with other offences.
They were due to appear before Salisbury magistrates today.
