Ref. 75937-04Wildlife rangers need volunteers to take part in a series of conservation days this month.

They need green-fingered volunteers to give up their spare time on weekdays and weekends to carry out improvement work in parks and nature reserves in Swindon.

On Saturday, there is a work day at Coate Water Park, which involves spreading wood chip mulch around trees.

This starts at 9.30am and will last for four hours.

The next event is on Tuesday February 15, and will be a tidying up of the Broome Manor Lane entrance to Coate Water, which starts at 9.30am and goes on until 2.30pm.

There is the opportunity to work at Stanton Park on Saturday February 19 from 10am to 2.30pm.

And on Tuesday March 1, tree collection and borders work will be going on at Coate Water from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Anybody who takes part in a work day is asked to bring outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, a packed lunch and warm drink.
