WE are now remembering the terrible atrocity of war, and what happened at Auschwitz and other camps in Germany and Poland.
I would like to remind historians that there was another terrible act which carried out in the Far East. it happened on the Burma Railway and Changi PoW camp where torture and starvation was carried out by the Japanese guards.
It was certainly not of the scale of Auschwitz but there were thousands of men, women and children treated appallingly.
Today there are many men and women still suffering with terrible memories of those camps.
We should all be humbled by their courage to survive.
