TOWN councillors have objected to plans to build 12-homes in Highworth.
The application to build the properties on land off Oak Drive was criticised by the council's planning committee.
Coun Sara Freeman, who chairs the committee, said: "We felt there were too many properties for such a small plot, and that the buildings were out of character."
The plot used to be in the grounds of Westlea House, but the land was sold to developers.
