IT was celebration time in West Swindon as the Wanderers, bottom of Division 8, gained their first point of the season at the 14th attempt with a 1-1 draw at home to Stratton United.

Scorer of the all-important goal was Alex Shearman. Matt Wanless had put the visitors ahead.

Leaders Green Baize United beat Smart Movers 4-2 with goals from Craig Heaney, Leigh Reeves, Ady Roper and Mark Jell. Stuart Harding and Dave Hutton replied for Smart Movers.

The game between the second and third-placed clubs APS Mortgages and West Swindon Sunday ended goalless.

Classic Paving beat Cats 6-2 due to a hat trick from Darren Brown, Martin Swadden, Rob Walker and Carl Golding. The Cats replies came from Mark Brimson and Rob Gray.

Eldene Social Club suffered a 4-3 home defeat to Bear Marlborough. Danny Godwin, Ian Wilmer and Jamie Newton were on target for Eldene.

Division 1

The three games played all ended in a draw. Moonrakers take over top spot after their 2-2 drawn match at Haydon Wick WMC whose goals came from Mark Arnold and a super long range effort from Danny Hyde.

Blyskawica shared eight goals at AFC Gas to edge into third spot. Ben Hollick, Darren Kyle and a double for Miec Wojewodka all netted and the Gas hit men were Darren Hawkins, Mark Bennett and Andy Brien with a couple.

Mike O'Sullivan scored for Juventus in their home draw with Carriers Arms.

Division 2

Strikes from James Toomey, Colin Ducker and substitute Steve Chilton gave Alanbrooke a 3-0 triumph over Highworth Plough.

Ash Andrews opened the scoring for npower at home to Pewsey Saints before Jerry King equalised for the visitors.

Division 3

Leaders Coleshill shared the points at Jovial Monk in a 4-4 draw with the Monk's scorers being Paul Blackford and Andrew White with a hat-trick.

Second-placed CJ Electrical won 2-0 at South Marston and Nationwide had a comfortable 5-0 home success against Dynamo Ashton, Phil O'Farrell hit a hat-trick and Barry Shedden a double.

Division 4

Highworth Fencing's disappointing 6-2 slump at home to Auto Colour means that leaders Prince of Wales require one more win to secure the title, Mike Soule and Shane Blake both netted for Highworth.

Dave Wilkinson put Mallard 1-0 up against Rat Trap only for the visitors to equalise for a 1-1 draw.

Division 5

Biggest shock of the day was the Lava Lounge's 2-1 home victory over leaders Intel 2-1. Andy Willis emerged the hero, scoring twice, while the Intel reply came from Andy Strong.

RJK Ferndale beat Village Inn 5-1 with goals for Simon Futcher, Jay Kitching, Aaron Kaye and a brace for Danny Scotford. The Village consolation came with a penalty from Glenn McCarthy.

Halcrow and Duckhams Chiseldon drew 2-2 in a game that was marred by Halcrow's Leigh Cruxon suffering a suspected broken leg. From that injury the resultant penalty kick was put in by Brad Rutland and Halcrow's other scorer was Mick Green.

KMLC won 3-2 at Lamb Marlborough with Alex Lodge (2) and Dave Brown on the scoresheet. The replies from the Lamb came from Steve Ellison and Nick Fraser.

Division 6

419ers returned to winning ways when they defeated Kingsdown United 4-1. Gareth Walton hit his 19th and 20th goals of the campaign which were added to by Claudio Sousa and Dave Ashworth, Craig Graham scored for Kingsdown.

Doubles for Ben Taylor and Nick Stevenson gave Dolphin a 4-0 win at AFC Southside.

Nine Elms stuffed Tawny Owl 8-1 with Warren Fuller hitting a four- timer, Ali Ward, John Granger, Steve Townsend and a super effort from Mark McMeeking.

Another one-sided affair was the 10-0 thrashing of Chesters at home to Nationwide Life. Doubles for Martin Lewis and Mark Harris, one each for Alan Souch and Paul Hibberd and a Paul Moss four-timer helped Life to an easy morning.

The game between Brook House and Intermach was abandoned after 35 minutes due to Intermach's Neil Coles suffering a suspected broken leg.

Division 7

Duncan Culley scored all five goals for Queenstown in their 5-1 home success against Longs Bar.

Blueprint won 8-1 at Swindon City with Max Rodriguez (4), Neil Wooding (2), Paul Brooks and Tom Shewring on the scoresheet.

Famous Ale House recorded a 6-2 victory at Moredon Cheney thanks to a Jon Millington hat trick, Nigel Baker with two and Mark Jolly. Matt Tyler replied for Cheney with a couple.

Darren Wilkes scored for Horse & Jockey as they lost 3-1 at home to AFC Royston. Matt Clarke (penalty), Dave Trowbridge and Andy Pocock all netted for Royston.
