GIRL'S FOOTBALL: JENNY Gray struck a hat-trick to help Swindon Spitfires Under 12s to an 8-0 win against Highworth Juniors in the Wiltshire County Women and Girls league.
Her treble strike saw her fourth goal in as many games.
Gray struck her first on 10 minutes after neatly side-stepping her marker before firing home.
Kristi Murphy worked her socks off in midfield and was unlucky not to score five minutes before the break when her shot clipped the post.
Two minutes later Gray notched her second when Georgia Leonard's pass left her with just the goalkeeper to beat.
Four minutes into the second half Lucy March was sent clear, only to be stopped by Aimee O'Sullivan in Highworth's goal.
As she dived at Lucy's feet the ball rebounded to Georgia Leonard, who had the simple task of scoring into an empty net.
Lucy March made it 4-0 with a shot across the area that went in off the far post, then Gray completed her hat-trick when she received a ball from New with her back to goal.
Leonard scored the next two goals to complete her hat-trick before March finished off the scoring the final minute.
