DAREDEVILS are needed to sign-up for a hell-raising challenge. On Sunday, April 24, a 150ft crane will roll into the Orbital Retail Park.
And for a £90 fee thrill-seekers can fling themselves off, landing in a giant net.
The stunt called SCAD Diving is being organised by the GWR Community Trust and it's hoped £20,000 will be raised through sponsorship for local good causes.
Rachel Addis, the trust's newly-appointed manager, is a veteran of the jumps.
And she says nothing beats the feeling of hurling to the ground at speeds of up to 70 mph.
"It's absolutely fantastic," she said. "I did three jumps while I was working for the National Kidney Research Fund.
"It's one of those activities you can't wait to do again. I was really nervous beforehand though."
Organisers hope to get Swindon companies involved too.
"Anyone raising more than £100 gets a free T-shirt to prove that they've done it.
"The views are fantastic you can see for miles." SCAD Diving, which stands for Suspended Catch Air Device, allows daredevils to experience the thrill of freefall while attached to a safety harness.
