A CHARITY dance will be held to raise money to take disabled children to Lourdes in France.
The Moloney School and the Pilgrim Trust will hold the Irish Night Charity Dance at the Thistle Hotel on Saturday, February 19.
There will be music from Irish recording star Seamus Moore and his JCB Band plus support band Riki Denham and a display of Irish dancing.
Money raised from the event will be used to take local disabled children to Lourdes at Easter. Organisers say that for some of the children it may be their first and perhaps only holiday.
The cost of the trip is £520 per child and the trust needs to raise more than £5,000 to cover the total cost of the trip, even though all helpers pay their own expenses.
The Thistle Hotel is providing the venue free of charge. Tickets for the event are £8 and available by ringing 01793 642368. Doors open at 7pm.
Local businesses are asked to sponsor the event.
Cheques should be made payable to HCPT Group 185 and sent to Patsy Moloney, 18 Helston Road, Park North, Swindon, SN3 2LA. Receipts will be issued.
