15305/02GAZETTE & HERALD: CORSHAM Primary School has won a prestigious Government award for the second time running.
The Cabinet Charter Mark recognises and encourages excellence in public service and, by achieving the honour, the school has shown it will go the extra mile to deliver a first class service.
Headteacher Fiona Allen said: "We are delighted to have received this award for the second time. It recognises the hard work and dedication of all the staff at Corsham Primary who work very hard to ensure that parents and children receive the best possible care.
"The Government assessor was particularly bowled over by our fantastic children. He told us they emulated our high standards."
The school passed the paperwork section of the Mark before Christmas and then an assessor came to see them in action last month.
Assessor John Thurgood said of the school: "There are high levels of pride from both pupils and parents. The school has a welcoming, friendly and active atmosphere where visitors are made to feel welcome and pupils proud of their achievements."
