PROPERTY worth several thousand pounds was stolen from businesses in the centre of Pewsey last weekend.
Thefts from three adjacent companies occurred overnight on Sunday and Monday.
Det Sgt Marcus Tawn from the Kennet CID unit is investigating the break-ins and would like to hear from anyone who saw unusual activity in the area of Whatley's Yard on that night.
The thieves forced a window at the rear of Johnsons dry cleaners and stole a Bosch washing machine, a Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer, a distinctive yellow and green Vaclensa vacuum cleaner, a Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machine, a cordless telephone, a Dell computer and a fan heater.
From the next-door flower shop Floral Fayre which has a CCTV recording system they removed the recording equipment.
They also broke into the offices of Wiltshire Accident Repairs in Whatley's Yard from where they took a Hewlett Packard fax/printer/scanner, a Dell computer, Kodak Finepix digital camera, a filing cabinet and £650 in petty cash.
Any information about the thefts should be given to Pewsey police station (01672) 562222.
