DONATIONS totalling more than £2,000 were handed out to a variety of charities at the annual dinner of the Pewsey 6X Club.
The club was originally set up as a rowing club but is also heavily involved in community activities including the village carnival.
Chairman Richard Giles spoke about the year's activities that had included a summer rowing boat trip from Huntington to Headley, along the Great Ouse.
There were three visits by the Pewsey Vale Military Society, an offshoot of the 6X club, and projects by the environmental working parties have kept the club busy.
The 6X club is heavily involved with Pewsey Carnival, raising money and giving its continual support to the annual event.
For the Sunday Morning Strollers the club provided a programme of walks in the Vale of Pewsey.
Donations were made to: Royal National Lifeboat Institution £1,411; Pewsey Carnival storage building project £1,000; Pewsey and District Link £50, and the Wilts and Berks Canal restoration appeal £50.
