Children from Malmesbury Primary School have been learning important skills in the kitchen thanks to two local chefs.
Paul Chick, chef of the Smoking Dog pub in the town's High Street, volunteered to assist cookery teacher Alex Maggs who runs a workshop at the school.
He decided to help after Lucy Gardner, whose son attends Malmesbury Primary and works as a kitchen assistant in the pub, said volunteers were needed for the school's cookery class.
The six and seven-year-olds who took part made Cornish pasties.
Mr Chick said: "It was really good fun. The children got very messy. But I really enjoyed it and I intend to return next week. Alex and I helped the kids make pastry for the Cornish pasties and they took it home to cook and eat with their parents."
