YOUNGSTERS could be responsible for a spate of burglaries in small area of Wootton Bassett.
That is the view of police in the town and the burglaries have taken place in an area of commercial units off Station Road, near the fire station.
Sergeant Andy Fortune said: "There have been six burglaries over the last six months, and we believe they are all connected. We believe the offenders to be in the 13 to 15 age group.
"We think there is a strong possibility that we are looking at the same group of offenders. This is based on what they are stealing."
The items stolen have generally been confectionery, sweets and other foodstuffs.
Sergeant Fortune said: "Adults don't generally steal sweets."
