SWINDON'S Billie Piper has landed in Cardiff Bay with a tardis and a time lord.
Billie was snapped during filming for the new series of Doctor Who.
She appeared briefly with Christopher Eccleston in the sunlight outside the Wales Millenium Centre.
Filming for the new series has been going on since July, and the show is scheduled to hit the small screen later this year as early as next month.
Billie, 22, is playing Rosie Tyler, sidekick of the new Doctor, played by Eccleston.
She landed the role less than a year after making her acting debut in the critically acclaimed BBC drama series Canterbury Tales.
Since then she received rave reviews for her role in another BBC drama, Bella and the Boys, and then starred with Orlando Bloom in the film The Calcium Kid.
When the new series is screened on BBC1 it will be immediately followed on BBC3 by a new documentary series Doctor Who Confidential.
Each edition will have a title and theme covered by that week's episode, looking back at how the theme has been developed in previous episodes with past Doctors.
Billie will be among the celebrities interviewed, as will previous Doctors.
The former pupil of Bradon Forest School in Purton was recently at the centre of a media frenzy over the breakdown of her marriage to Chris Evans.
This week Chris said he still loved Billie describing her as "the most fantastic person in the world" but added he did not want to hold her back from her blossoming career.
