SKIPPER Ricky Trott will return to the Trowbridge side to face Devizes Town tomorrow after missing Wednesday's cup clash due to international commitments.

The midfielder was at Villa Park watching England's dull 0-0 draw with Holland instead of playing against Almondsbury Town in the Hellenic League Floodlight Cup. Despite his absence, Trowbridge Town manager Neil Kirkpatrick had no complaints.

He said: "To be fair to him he booked a hotel a long time ago before he knew about this match. But we missed his presence in midfield."

Kirkpatrick said Trowbridge travel to Devizes for their Wiltshire Senior Cup quarter-final tie full of optimism although they are obvious underdogs.

"They are one level above us, but we are going there to win, as simple as that," he said. "There's no pressure on us whatsoever

"Devizes will be favourites, but we'll be looking to bounce back from Wednesday's loss. We'll give them a match and no mistake."

Trowbridge will be without defender Daniel Barnes, but will otherwise be close to full strength.

Devizes are 14th in the Screwfix Premier and have only won three home league games all season. They have also been on a dismal run since December, losing seven and winning just one of eight matches.

Trowbridge have already shown 'giant killing' credentials in the floodlit cup and Kirkpatrick sees no reason why this should change tomorrow.

He said: "We've beaten three Hellenic Premier sides and held one in one leg and came close in the other. We are confident and we enjoy being underdogs."
