TOBY Colbourne is forecasting a cracking cup tie tomorrow when he faces Westbury United for the first time since his move to Corsham.
The in-form striker lines up against his old team-mates at the Southbank believing their recent cup form makes them a real threat.
Corsham lost to Trowbridge in last season's Wiltshire Senior Cup final and Colbourne says his team must be on their guard to avoid another upset in tomorrow's quarter-final.
He said: "It's set up for them coming at us and giving us a good game. When I was there Westbury had a good cup record.
"We were beating teams two or three leagues above us. I will just be happy to get through to the semi-finals."
Colbourne played down suggestions he would be particularly determined to score against his former club, saying it will just like a normal game. But with 17 league goals already in the bag, there can be no doubting his form since moving from Meadow Lane.
He said: "It can't really be any better in fairness. It's all credit to the rest of the Corsham team more than anything, you've got so many good players around you.
"At the start of the season my form at Westbury wasn't the greatest. I was surprised to have picked up as quickly as I have done."
Corsham have been one of the success stories of the Screwfix Premier Division this season after securing promotion last year.
Colbourne said: "I think our form has surprised a lot of the lads. Just recently we are getting into the habit where we are getting the results even when we are playing badly.
"That's just down to hard work. There's definitely a lot more confidence in the squad."
As for Westbury, he said: "I still keep an eye on their results and see how they are getting on. I've spoken to Paul Brickley and saw that they came down to watch us last Tuesday.
"What Bricko has got now is the whole rebuilding process. It's pleasing to see he is using a few more of the young lads and the reserve team players.
"The main thing for them will just to stay up and move on from there next season. It's a great club and I'm more than confident that they can do that."
Brickley will be without Matty Bown and Jerad O'Pray for the Corsham game.
He said: "We are massive underdogs to be perfectly honest about it. I won't need to get the lads up for it at all.
"But it's going to be very difficult to get anything out of it. They are probably the best side around here in the Western League by a long way.
"If I could afford a coach like the one they have at Chelsea I would park it front of the goal."
