GIANTKILLING Cricklade are targeting their biggest scalp yet when they tackle Hellenic Premier title-chasers Highworth in the quarter-final of the Wilts Senior Cup.
Graham Jackson's Wiltshire League side stunned Melksham in the shock of the previous round securing a 5-2 win at the Conigre.
Highworth represents an even bigger challenge but a recent wobble in form makes the Elms outfit prime candidates for another cup upset.
Said Jackson: "Of course we are massive underdogs, Highworth are a good side but we have got good team spirit, we play some decent football and we will be all out to give them a game."
Cricklade will be without dangerman Ben Carter the scourge of Melksham in the last round after the striker picked up an injury while on duty for Fairford.
"It's a shame he won't be fit," added Jackson.
"Together with Ian Ross the pair have notched up 39 goals between them so far, so you could say that it's a bit of a blow."
Adam O'Bree will probably partner Ross up front in an otherwise full-strength line-up.
Highworth boss John Fisher is very wary of a potential upset with his team struggling to find top form.
"Too many of our players are not at their best at the moment," he said.
"You can carry two or three but not five or six.
"A month ago this game wouldn't have concerned me but I must admit I'm a bit apprehensive now.
"That said I'm still expecting to win.
"This game could be the platform we need to get some confidence back."
New signing Phil Corcoran has pledged himself to Highworth for the rest of the season ahead of his Southern League club Cirencester.
However, the striker has flu and is a major doubt.
Fisher will also be without the suspended trio of Jon Reeves, Richard Knox and Mark O'Hara.
Calne boss Kelvin Highmore will have one eye on Tuesday's Screwfix League game with Shepton Mallet before he makes his selection for their quarter-final at Bemerton.
Groin injury-victim Darren Smart is unlikely to be risked, but may get a 45-minute run-out for the reserves as he continues his recuperation.
Corsham entertain Westbury in an all-Screwfix tie.
Southbank supremo Nobby Bush has made approaches for forwards Dave Lloyd and Matty Bennett of Devizes and Wootton Bassett respectively, though both are likely to stay put unless they fancy deputising for prolific duo Alan Griffin and Toby Colboure.
The final tie of the round sees Devizes host holders Trowbridge.
Lloyd, Andy Coombes and Jon Scott are all set to return to action for Mark Godley's team.
