THE manager of the Brunel Rooms says he is all for the Government's new 24-hour drink licence.
The popular town centre nightclub currently serves drink until 2am on Friday and Saturday.
But Stephen Reid, managing director, says he'll apply to serve drinks until 4am.
"We may even decide to extend that to 6am," he said. "Our customers demand it. We want to create a more European culture in Swindon and this is one of the ways we can do it.
"It's better for the police too if we have staggered closing times."
All pubs in Swindon recently told the Adver they would not apply to stay open the full 24 hours. Mr Reid thinks pubs are not capable of staying open into the small hours but clubs have the right security to stay open later.
