POLICE are making a renewed appeal for witnesses to an unprovoked attack which left a man with serious injuries.
The 30-year-old man was attacked in Davis Place, Swindon, after leaving the Brunel Rooms nightclub at about 2am on January 29.
He was kicked in the head and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance with a broken jaw and cheek bone, along with a black eye and multiple bruises to his upper body.
The man, from outside the Swindon area, had been celebrating his birthday with friends.
It is believed there were two attackers, both white males, who made off in a vehicle which was parked by the front of Sainsbury's supermarket.
The vehicle returned to the scene but sped off when the attackers saw the ambulance, police said.
Any witnesses to the attack are asked to come forward and police particularly want to talk to a man who called the ambulance and who is believed to have witnessed the incident.
Contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or ring Emma Barnet or Dave Norman at Swindon Police on 01793 528111, extension 849.
