Swindon campaigners will conduct a ceremony to remember those killed in Iraq tomorrow.
Eighty-five pairs of shoes will be laid out at cenotaph in Regent Circus at midday to represent the British servicemen and women who have died so far in the conflict.
Andy Newman, secretary of the Swindon Stop the War Coalition, will read out the names of the fallen.
He said: "We will be naming the dead, not only the British servicemen, but also the names of many of the American and Iraqis killed. This is a mark of respect."
The ceremony is being held on the second anniversary of the demonstration in London when more than one million people gathered in the build up to war.
Swindon Stop the War Coalition claim around 1,000 people from Swindon went on the protest.
Mr Newman said: "Most people simply did not believe the government lies about Iraq possessing weapons of mass destruction, and we have been proved right.
"The February 15 demonstration was a turning point for democracy in this country, and we feel that the lies of the politicians have directly led to 85 deaths of British service personal."
