TIPS on how to bring Shakespeare to life were on offer to drama and English teachers during a one-day workshop at the Wyvern Theatre.
Juliet Forster from the Royal Shakespeare Company held a master class at the theatre last week.
The course taught the teachers how to bring Shakespeare's texts to life for young people.
It was organised by the Sixth Sense Theatre company and was sponsored by Commonweal School.
Phil Leslie, who is head of English at Commonweal, said: "It was a fantastic experience and the knowledge gained will be ideal for year nine SATs and year ten coursework.
"It made the Bard's text more interesting and understandable and we will be looking at utilising dramatic techniques."
Ruth Becket, acting head of drama at Commonweal, said: "The masterclass gave us ideas on how to make Shakespeare accessible and will certainly be using the techniques we have learnt."
