PUBLIC sector unions are quite right to be urging workers to vote for strike action over pensions.
The 2004 Pensions Act will give extra tax relief of up to £4 billion for people earning over £100,000 per year. Meanwhile public sector workers are being expected to work more years before they retire, and have a smaller pension based on basic pay not final salary.
This government does not listen to reason. So strike action is the only way to make them think again.
