WOOTTON Bassett's new mayor is no stranger to the job.
Coun Chris Wannell, pictured, has been chosen as the next mayor, and Percy Miles is to be his deputy.
This will be Coun Wannell's second stint as mayor.
He said: "I'm looking forward to it. I was mayor in 1985. I enjoy working for my community and I will do all I can to keep it the friendly, vibrant community that it is.
"I shall always fight to keep Wootton Bassett separate from Swindon."
