A PUB has finally stumped up cash from a charity gig held last July.
Last month, we learned that the Williams Syndrome Foundation had not received a penny from the Ghost Train, in Purton in spite of claims by drinkers that hundreds of pounds were raised.
The gig was staged in honour of five-year-old Chloe Cuellar, who suffers from the rare genetic condition.
Landlord Mark Jeffcot blamed the delay on drinkers who failed to honour their cash pledges.
John Nelson, the charity's chief executive, thanked the Advertiser for airing its concerns.
He said: "I am pleased to report that we received cheques totalling £1,020 last week and we understand that this was the total raised for our charity at the event.
"We are grateful to all those people who made generous donations."
