I READ Thursday's article (February 10) regarding the damage to three cars parked in Drakes Way with interest.
Mention was made that drivers often exceeded the 40mph limit along the stretch of road, although there was no suggestion that speed was a factor in this incident.
But what really struck me was that I remembered reading in the Adver last year that this part of Drakes Way was designated as a clearway and that parking along it was forbidden.
I apologise in advance if I missed the story that parking restrictions had been lifted or if they never applied to this particular section, but does the incident not demonstrate why Drakes Way was deemed a clearway in the first place?
