A SWINDON solicitors' firm has warned employers to be prepared for new age discrimination legislation coming in next year.
BLB, which has offices in Commercial Road, Swindon, says the directive which bans age discrimination in employment and vocational training will give older workers greater rights, as workers will be able to carry on working past 65.
Solicitor Claire Bennett said: "According to research by the DTI, 50 per cent of workers have suffered age discrimination at work.
"Smart organisations will realise people should be judged on their skills rather than age and the best solution is not to have any retirement age."
