A PLAQUE has been unveiled at Swindon's innovation centre to mark cash given by the regional development agency.
Three years ago the South West Regional Development Agency gave the University of Bath £150,000 to refurbish the old Oakfield School.
Now it is also home to 12 new businesses ranging from mobile technology for the visually-impaired to drug information services.
Innovation Centre director Ron Humphries said: "The regional development agency's contribution to the Innovation Centre was crucial to its development.
"It allows us to provide first class facilities to local innovators."
The Agency's enterprise manager for Wiltshire and Swindon Lynda Scorer said: "We are delighted to have been involved in the Innovation Centre and have been acknowledged.
"It's good to see how the Agency's support is making such a positive contribution to the local business economy and community."
