GAZETTE & HERALD: POPULAR Corsham town councillor Pam Stratford died last Wednesday morning after a battle with cancer.
She was a member of thecouncil for 12 years from 1991 but chose not to re-stand in 2003 due to ill health.
Her funeral is being held tomorrow, at 10.30am at St Bartholomew's Church. Her family have requested no flowers but donations can be made to Church of England Children Society care of H. Merrett Funeral Directors, 57A Pickwick Road, Corsham, SN13 9BS.
Councillor Jock Fraser said: "Pam was a very hard-working councillor who particularly had an interest in the new formation of the Centurion Garden. She was a member of the Corsham in Bloom committee and was a worthwhile member of the council. She served the town very well."
