WAITROSE is on the hunt for the best of British produce. The supermarket, which has stores in Salisbury and Ringwood, has launched its Small Producers Awards 2005 and is looking for small businesses that make quality food and drink.
The competition is open to small producers with fewer than ten permanent, full- or part-time employees, and a turnover of less than £1.5 million.
The winner of each category will receive £5,000 as well as marketing, design and business advice from Waitrose.
A supreme champion will be chosen from these winners and will receive a total prize of £10,000.
