THE star of Halifax's TV adverts will be dropping into Swindon.
Howard Brown, right, whose singing and dancing made him an instantly recognisable face, is due to be at the Bridge Street branch on Monday, May 9.
It is part of a nationwide nine-month tour to promote Halifax's new Moneyback current account and supporting Howard's charity CD single, which is raising money for the NSPCC and Children 1st.
The CD, a cover version of Barry White's You're The First, The Last, My Everything, also includes the track that launched Howard's career, Tom Jones' Sex Bomb.
Howard, 40, will be visiting 240 branches, and the time he is in Swindon will be confirmed closer to the date.
All proceeds from the single, released on March 7, will be donated to the charities.
Howard, who used to work in the Sheldon branch of the Halifax, in the West Midlands, was chosen from 600 staff in a search for a star competition.
He said: "People have been supportive over the last four years, so I hope they'll all be buying the CD and helping such a worthy cause."
