DROP-in centre, The Green Hut, was given a boost when events management company Inspire Success Ltd donated boxes of tasty treats to them yesterday.
The boxes, full of hundreds of selection bags of chocolate, sweets, gingerbread biscuits and flapjacks, are leftovers from a winter festival the company held.
Sales and marketing director, Richard Moulton, said The Green Hut is a "very worthwhile cause."
The volunteer-run centre, in the grounds of St Barnabas Church, Gorse Hill, provides food, shelter and advice to anyone who needs it.
Mr Moulton said: "The charity is very close to our hearts because we are all Swindonians."
"If we can help local causes and the community we will."
Receiving the goodies was Eric Walker, a volunteer fundraiser at The Green Hut.
Mr Walker said: "I am very pleased that Inspire thought of us as they're a new company."
He added: "It's nice they thought of the voluntary sector they could have just thrown it all away."
Clive Hunt, project manager at The Green Hut, will share the confectionery boxes with other homeless charities around Swindon.
Inspire Success Ltd has only been in operation for just over a year but has already established links with various charities around the town.
