A CHILDREN'S entertainer brought a smile to children's faces at the Great Western Hospital.
Jeff Smith, alias Erbie the Clown, visited the children's ward thanks to a fundraising effort.
The show was organised by POD, a charity that raises funds to send entertainers to visit children's wards in hospitals across the UK to cheer up children during their stay.
POD administrator, Margaret Munford, said: "Over the past 26 years, POD has helped bring a little magic, fun and laughter into the lives of many of thousands of sick children in hospital.
"Although we're helpless in actually making children better we can make them feel better and the mind plays an important part in the healing process.
"It is thanks to donations from companies such as Warburtons that our work can continue."
As part of a year-long sponsorship, Warburtons Bicester Depot is providing funding for entertainers to attend the GWH Hospital children unit on a regular basis.
The company is helping to send magicians, musicians, puppeteers, storytellers and clowns throughout the year.
