A WILLOW wonderland was created at the Richard Jefferies Museum, to inspire a group of budding artists.
Ten children, aged between five and 11, were eager to try their hands at making decorative wreaths using real willow cut from Coate Water.
The afternoon was designed to bring the museum, in Coate, to life for the children.
Community heritage education officer Nicky Pardoe said bringing fun and learning into the museum is much better than looking at dusty cases.
The children braved the chilly winds to work outside, carefully shaping the willow.
Once the hard work was done, it was time to come back into the warm to add the finishing touches.
Nicky said: "The children were quiet for a long time it took a lot of concentration."
