AT the risk of boring your readers may I once again bring up the subject of wheelie bins.
Wheelie bins can be very successful. The Newbury area is a good example but they were introduced after very careful thought as to being practical, the right size, safety and so on.
Quite clearly this has not been done here. The number of houses in Marlborough where wheelie bins could not be used (probably 30 per cent or more) has not been seriously addressed.
If the bins are too small nothing is to be gained either. Perhaps Coun Callow might like to investigate before promoting them.
