VERY recently my son received a parking fine. The reason given on the ticket was because his front wheel was slightly over the line into the adjacent disabled space which are wider than normal bays anyway for obvious reasons.

This was in the centre of Marlborough High Street overnight.

Now when he parked his vehicle there were no other spaces available and other vehicles were overlapping their bays.

As most of us know, the lines were marked incorrectly in the first place. However, when he went to retrieve his car at 9.05am the next morning there was the warden writing a ticket just for this reason to give my son.

How pedantic can one get? Does our dear traffic warden hope to gain lots of Brownie points for the increased revenue?
