16602/1CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A MIRACLE baby born seven weeks early after his mother was resuscitated three times on the way to hospital is back home with his family.
Heavily pregnant mum Justine Elliott, of Hamilton Way, Chippenham, was resuscitated three times by paramedics on New Year's
Day after she suffered fits caused by high blood pressure.
Doctors at Great Western Hospital in Swindon were forced to carry out an emergency caesarean telling close family they expected only one of them to live.
But both mum and son survived the ordeal and Michael has now left his hospital bed behind for a teddy bear-themed nursery decorated by his proud father. Mrs Elliott said: "I'm feeling fine now and it is good to have Michael back home.
"He's been feeding well and putting on weight and is now the right size for a newborn baby.
"I have been advised not to have any more children. If I fall pregnant again I would have to spend all nine months in hospital."
Since the Chippenham News exclusively revealed Justine and Michael's ordeal last month the family has appeared live on GMTV and will tell its story in a national magazine.
