16582CHIPPENHAM NEWS: THIEVES took something not on the menu from a Chippenham burger van at the weekend.
Workers at the Par Catering snack wagon at Focus DIY, in Bath Road, turned up to work on Sunday to find all four wheels had been stolen.
The £300 wheels and tyres were swiped between 5pm on Saturday and the following afternoon.
Bosses have put the snack van on bricks until new wheels can be bought and are now unable to drive the cabin to private parties.
Worker Carol Giles said: "It's making me feel like they are taking the van slowly, bit by bit, and we will end up with nothing.
"For the time being we are stuck where we are. The wheels are quite expensive.
"Trade is good enough for us to stay for the time being but all this damage is costing more than we take in a week.
"Hopefully someone saw something and tells to the police."
The snack wagon has been in operation for the past three years.
Anyone with information on the wheel theft should contact Chippenham police.
